Anna Rosa Donizzetti
Her research activity focuses on the social psychology of health as well as on social psychology and prejudice. She is a member of the European Society of Health Psychology, the Italian Association of Psychology, and the Italian Society of Health Psychology.
Francesco Palumbo
His scientific work focuses on Multivariate Analysis, particularly on methods for analyzing qualitative characteristics in the study of dependency and interdependency relationships, with a special emphasis on association through factorial models. He has authored or co-authored over one hundred publications, including articles in international journals and contributions to collective volumes. Within national and international scientific societies, he has held numerous leadership and coordination roles. Currently, he serves as a member of the Executive Council of the Italian Statistical Society and as the Rector’s Delegate for Teaching.
Maria Francesca Freda
Her scientific interests, expressed through numerous projects, research works, publications, and participation in national and international conferences, have in recent years focused on the processes of meaning-making and adaptation to illness experiences, on narration as a research and intervention tool in healthcare contexts, and on the development of clinical psychological intervention models aimed at promoting health in various settings.
Maria Luisa Martino
She was the Principal Investigator of the IMPRONTE Project “Breast Cancer Women: Innovative Model For Processing Traumatic Experience” – Star Grant 2017-2019 – funded by the University of Federico II and the San Paolo Foundation, Banco di Napoli. Within the field of clinical health psychology, her scientific interest focuses on the onset and treatment path of an oncological disease considered as a critical and potentially traumatic experience. She is involved in research-intervention in hospital institutions, with particular reference to the use and evaluation of various narrative devices aimed at fostering adaptation and coping resources during the treatment process. By adopting qualitative-quantitative methods, she studies the processes and narrative functions of meaning-making aimed at constructing psychological-clinical models to support the disease experience.

Her scientific interest in the field of clinical health psychology focuses on the study of the psychic processes that regulate individuals’ preventive choices and self-care practices in the context of cancer prevention. Her research and publications, through the use of narrative tools and a quali-quantitative analysis methodology, are dedicated to women’s health from a gender perspective, to the critical experience of illness, and to the healthcare relationship. Her exploration of the dialogue between clinical psychology and medical ethics aims to acknowledge the individual’s agency in health-related decisions and to promote engagement within the healthcare system—key directions to which psychological intervention seeks to contribute.
Patrizia Cozzolino
She exercises administrative and accounting responsibility, as well as the tasks, functions, and responsibilities provided by the University Statute. She coordinates and organizes the administrative secretariat of the Department and undertakes any initiative aimed at improving the management of the Department, within the guidelines provided by the Director. She manages the correct administrative and accounting implementation of the numerous national and international research projects currently active at the Department.

Her research interests fall within the fields of Social Psychology and Health Social Psychology. Through the use of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, she focuses on studying the impact of digital technologies on well-being and health, and on examining the determinants of health behaviours, particularly those related to prevention.
Florencia González Leone
PhD in Human Mind and Gender Studies at the University of Naples Federico II, with research activity in collaboration with the Naples Cancer Institute Fondazione G. Pascale. Her scientific interests fall within the fields of Community Psychology and Psycho-oncology. Through the action-research model and the use of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, she has participated in several national and international research projects, with publications and articles on psycho-oncology.
Miriam Capasso
Her research interests fall within the field of Social Psychology applied to Health. Her research and publications, through the use of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, have focused on exploring the psychosocial determinants of health behaviours (in light of socio-cognitive models of behavioural change) and on designing and testing the effectiveness of interventions—particularly those based on the principles of persuasive communication—aimed at promoting such behaviours.
