The MIRIADE Project arises from the collaboration between the Campania Region and the Department of Humanities of the University of Naples Federico II.

It is a five-year (2021-2026) research-intervention project whose main objective is to design and implement a multi-dimensional strategy aimed at investigating the psychological, social, and cultural factors that influence adherence to screenings, in order to contribute to guiding health programming with a view to promoting health and improving compliance with cancer screenings.

In detail, the project aims to pursue several sub-objectives:

• Identify the psychosocial factors relevant to the definition of adherence profiles to the three screenings (colorectal, cervical, breast) offered free of charge by the Campania Region;
• Develop effective communication models through tailored messages to promote adherence to screenings in the population of the Campania Region.
• Activate training courses on brief motivational counselling for doctors and healthcare workers involved in the promotion of screenings.

The MIRIADE Project:

• Takes into account the guidelines expressed by the National Prevention Plan 2020-2025, adopted in the State-Regions Conference on August 6, 2020, Rep. Acts n° 127/CSR;
• Is included, among the specific actions to be implemented, in Programma Libero 13 “Cancer Screenings” of the Regional Prevention Plan 2020-2025, approved with D.G.R.G. n° 600 of 28.12.2021.
